Notes: I had no idea what to expect from this movie but, to be honest, it did hit me like a truck though. With the film club, we do watch some really heavy movies from time to time (I guess we like to torture ourselves like thatâŠ) but this movie was definitely one of the most hardcore we have seen so far. Itâs interesting that some other film club members were rooting for the main character to successfully come out of this endless vicious circle of violence and despair but, as far as I was concerned, even if I did care for the poor boy, I pretty much knew from the start that he was doomed (it is so weird that he was actually played by an actor called Thibaud Dooms). I mean, how could you expect any really improvement if you take a traumatized boy out of a highly dysfunctional environment and put him in just another dysfunctional environment? Iâm not blaming the educators working there, they were doing the best they could with some f*cked up situations and I really did appreciate the hyper-realistic approach they chose to depict this environment but, at the end of the day, it didnât seem like a very efficient system. Coming back on Thibaud Dooms, wow, this guy was just incredible, so raw and so spellbinding to behold, I almost wish his career would end here just to make sure that he doesnât have to go through something like this ever again. Eventually, the only thing that really didnât work in this movie for me was the fact that the âbadâ guy, the real psycho in these group of messed up kids turned out to be Moroccan. Seriously, since it was a work of fiction, there was absolutely no need to give this character such a specific ethnicity, especially since there is already such a vile rhetoric about this matter in France, in the Netherlands and also in Belgium.

Notes: Apparently, it turned out to be a huge success at the box-office and I have to admit that it turned out to be one of the better Pixar sequels. Indeed, the idea of focusing on Riley when she became a teenager was pretty much a no-brainer and a genius move and, during this process, Riley became one of the best Pixar characters. I have to admit that I donât remember much how she was in the previous movie, I think the focus was mostly on what was going in her head at the time, but here, she became a fully-fledged character and there was something so genuine and relatable about her. Furthermore, the new emotions completely made sense, especially Anxiety which was just so pitch-perfect. Seriously, I had some serious dĂ©jĂ -vu regarding my own teenage years during which anxiety definitely played a major role. So, it was definitely a decent sequel but, to be honest, it was still missing something to be truly amazing though. The main issue I had was that the plot followed too closely what already happened in the first movie. Indeed, somehow, Joy got kicked out of the HQ and, somehow, she had to find her way back through Rileyâs mind. I mean, this concept was perfectly fine the first time around but to give us exactly the same thing for this sequel was just downright lazy. Anyway, even if it didnât become another Pixar masterpiece, it was still pretty good though.

This Documentary will feature interviews of fans of Jim Hensons work, interspersed with footage from Jim Henson's works, including Wilkins and Wontkins Commercials that were previously lost.

I have to admit that I was quite impressed after all. I mean, the movie itself was a rather basic documentary, there was really nothing fancy about it but I was just really impressed by Hensonâs legacy. I mean, sure, I had heard about the guy but I never really cared much about his work (itâs not that I didnât try, I have actually watched all the Muppets movies). Well, thanks for this movie, I really got to understand why he was actually a genius and probably one of the most influential artists that ever worked on television, no less than that. Sure, like everyone else, he was chasing the money but not as an end but as a mean to an end. Unfortunately, 30 years after his death, we have reached an all-time low in this area as every studio and every streaming service only talks about delivering as much 'content' as possible instead of trying to deliver something that might be actually good. Concerning Hensonâs private life, they didnât really go to deep in this area but it seemed pretty obvious that he severely neglected his wife and kids. Unfortunately, I think itâs unreasonable to expect from such a genius to have also a peachy family life and I donât think you can have both things, having such an amazing seemingly all-consuming professional life and also have an harmonious personal life as well. Of course, he died really young which was really tragic but, considering his crazy work ethic, you might wonder if he would have been able to last much longer anyway (seriously, at the end of his life, he looked more like someone in his 70âs than someone in his early 50âs).
