Notes: Since I really liked a lot ‘Twelve monkeys’, it is easily my favorite movie directed by Terry Gilliam, I was really curious about this short feature because Gillian was inspired by this short. Eventually, the whole thing just really blew me away. Seriously, by now, I have seen more than 5000 movies and it is very rare that a movie brings up something really new or groundbreaking. Well, this flick was definitely an exception and it is certainly one of the most original movies I have ever seen. Indeed, basically, it was made only with some still shot photography and even though it might sound tedious, I thought it made the whole thing in fact mesmerizing to behold. If you truly love movies and if you think of movies as a work of Art, you should check this one out. Eventually, I was really impressed by this flick, I thought it was just very inspiring and it is definitely worth a look.

My verdict:
Of course, by now, they should have already cancelled 'The Simpsons' but it used to one of the best TV-shows and since I also loved 'Futurama', I was dying to see this new show from Matt Groening. Well, to be honest, I wasn't exactly blown away by the whole thing and, in spite of a great concept, it was much less stronger than 'The Simpsons' and 'Futurama'. Indeed, even though some of the jokes were pretty funny, many of them were rather flat. Still, it was watchable anyway and I watched all the episodes in a couple of days.
Will I watch the following seasons?
Yes, I have watched the whole thing by now.

Notes: Well, it turned out to be one of the most fascinating thrillers I have seen lately and I'm glad I didn't know anything about this movie before watching it as it made the whole thing even more spellbinding to behold. To be honest, I feel slightly guilty that it didn't notice that it was done in one single continuous shot lasting no less than 134 minutes. I did feel that they were using some long takes but I didn't notice that there was not cut at all but it was so well done, you just get lost in this fascinating tale. It did create some immediate urgency and it made the performances even more impressive in retrospect. Of course, you might argue that it didn't make sense that the main character would tag along with some guys she barely met, especially concidering the mess she ended up into but I don't agree. It was also very well explained, she had spent all her youth working her ass off to become a professional piano player which resulted in nothing and she ended up in this foreign country all alone so what did she have to loose? Of course, it was reckless and it all ended up in chaos but, to feel alive, shouldn't we take some risks and see what will happen?
