Notes: Basically, it was one of those hyperlink features with multiple & parallel story lines interacting with each others. Altman was basically an expert at this genre and this movie is considered as one of his many masterpieces. Well, to be honest, I thought it was a little bit disappointing though. Sur all the actors involved were pretty good and the music was alright but there was no plot whatsoever (which is something that never really bothers me and it didn’t bother here either). The main issue was that I never really cared about the characters involved and what was happening to them. The thing with hyperlink features is that, usually at the end, there is a rather far-fetched climax where all the storylines collide together. Here, Robert Altman didn’t even bother and the whole thing remained really really loose from the beginning until the end. Still, the whole thing was very well directed and the actors gave some compelling performances.

A good movie

“Since I had seen all the movies directed by Jim Jarmusch except for this one, of course, I was really eager to check it out. Well, the thing I enjoyed the most about the damned thing was the fact that Jarmusch gave the viewers barely any hints at all about what he was thinking or what he wanted to a” read more

Notes: Well, eventually, it definitely deserves its reputation as it was easily one of the most f*cked-up movies I have ever seen and I have seen quite a lot of weird and messed-up flicks. In fact, the sex scenes were not so unbearable but it was the first time I saw a movie dealing with scatology and these scenes were just awful to behold. Later on, it didn't get much better with some horrible torture scenes. Seriously, compared to this movie, such movies like 'Saw' or 'Hostel' were pretty much like a walk in a park. Eventually, what was Pasolini's point? In my opinion, he wanted to show that Fascism was and still is the most decadent, depraved and insane political ideology that ever existed. Still, even though I have a weak spot for nightmarish movies, Pasolini went really far here and I think I will remain nauseous for a couple of days after watching this flick.

An average movie

“To be honest, since ‘Knight of Cups’ already turned out to be a disappointment, I had already lowered down my expectactions concerning this movie. Well, unfortunately, even though it turned out to be slightly better, once again, I still had a hard time to care about the damned thing. I mean, as ” read more

An average movie

“I didn't expect much from this flick but since Renny Harlin's movies have always been a guilty pleasure of mine, I still wanted to check it out. First of all, you have to keep in mind the convoluted production for this movie. Indeed, at first, Paul Schrader was supposed to direct it but then, when h” read more

An average movie

“To be honest, I didn't expect much from this flick but since I have a weak spot for Halle Berry, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, unfortunately, it turned out to be really weak and, at this point, you wonder if she will ever showed up in something really worthwhile. At least, she still ” read more
